The Grande Parade des Pilotes 2010 will be a landmark event for iconic British sportscar manufacturer Ginetta, when two of its cars line up for the parade for the first time in the company's history.

The stunning F400 Ginetta Supercar and the ground-breaking Ginetta G50EV, electric sports car prototype, will take their places in front of a crowd of 150,000 spectators to celebrate the world's greatest endurance race - the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Lawrence Tomlinson, Chairman of Ginetta, said: "I'm very excited to see the F400 and the G50EV in the parade at Le Mans. The F400 is an outstandingly beautiful supercar, so the parade is the perfect opportunity to showcase the latest addition to the Ginetta stable. The G50EV has received huge acclaim since its launch and this will be its second historic outing in the last 12 months - earlier this year it became the first car to be driven through the channel tunnel."

The drivers getting behind the wheel of the two cars are Ginetta General Manager Simon Finnis and Championship Manager and former British GT4 Champion Stewart Linn.

Long distance touring is made effortless with the 70 litre fuel tank and 220 litre boot capacity, large enough to incorporate a full size set of golf clubs or luggage.

 Ginetta G50EV

Ginetta's first venture into the low carbon vehicle arena has resulted in the Ginetta G50EV. Using 100% electric power, this two-seater sports car is capable of 110 mph and has a range of 200 miles on a full charge. Its three batteries and motor deliver power directly to the rear wheels maintaining the 'fun factor' of the petrol-powered equivalent. The drive train installed in the G50 electric vehicle utilises state of the art brushless DC motor technology. The award winning innovative drive train design integrates the electric motor, power and control electronics into one compact assembly with only three connections: water, high voltage (300V) and low voltage (12v).
