The Eco-Rally 2010 will be yet another landmark event for iconic British sportscar manufacturer Ginetta, when its electric car joins the convoy for the first time in the company's history.

The ground-breaking Ginetta G50EV, electric sports car prototype, will take their places in the convoy of low and zero emission vehicles which travel the famous Veteran Car Run in reverse, driving from Brighton's sea front to central London.

Behind the wheel will be rock star Rick Parfitt Jnr who will be driving the ground-breaking British sportscar in the 60 mile event.

Lawrence Tomlinson, Chairman of Ginetta, said: "I'm very excited to see G50EV in the rally. The G50EV has received huge acclaim since its launch and this will be its third historic outing in the last 12 months - last year it became the first car to be driven through the channel tunnel and only last month it took pride of place in front of a crowd of 150,000 at the legendary Parade des Pilotes at Le Mans."
